Review: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
“I decide he IS in a cult. It’s a no-shirt-no-shoes-and-we-eat-dirt cult. That being said, he’s also hot as hell, and when he licked his finger I lost three years of lifespan.”

I never thought that a book so short will make me feel so many things…
Lily & Thorn is a short novella part of an amazing fundraiser “Bewitched Blooms: A Fundraiser Anthology for Zoë” that started as support to family fighting with cancer, but unfortunately ended as support for grieving family.
I read this book in one sitting. Not only that, but I was laughing, smiling, feeling like I had a comfort blanket over me. And at the end I was crying. A lot…
Lily & Thorn is not only cozy fantasy romance… It is a story about dealing with trauma, with pain, learning about trusting again and about what it means to feel loved. (There is so much more, but I can’t write it without spoiling it up to you)
I cannot do a standard review of a whole book for this story because I am yet to finish the whole anthology. However, this short story was such an incredible read that I wanted to do a special little review for it. It is possible I will do more of them once I read the complete anthology.
I am partially biased to recommend the anthology to anyone, just because I was supporting the idea from the beginning. I have a soft spot in me for anyone that is sick with cancer due to my own family history and will promote anything that can help them.
But I really loved this story of Lily and Thorn. I requested an ARC of this book because I liked the premise, just to learn that I have it in my library in an anthology!
Almost the entire story is steamy and spicy with cozy moments, and I can fairly say that I would not mind if it is a full length book of Thorn and Lily’s Romance.
Just keep in mind that even though it is lighthearted most of the time, it will take some darker turns that can be triggering with infertility and similar matter.
I don’t want to spoil ending but only thing I was slightly unhappy with is that trigger warnings are missing mentioning loss of child which I understand would take from a story and tigger warnings are mentioning infertility but loss of baby is something different and it is strong trigger for lots of woman.
